This Special Issue aims at providing a focus on modern developments in these highly exciting topics related to energy, entropy, and information in nano- and quantum-electronics.

Workshop on quantum thermodynamics -- QTh20

Dear all, the Quantum Research Group of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, with the support of the National Institute for Theoretical Physics (NITheP), is organising a workshop in quantum thermodynamics, 23-27 November 2020. Initially planned to take place in Durban, it was later transformed to an online workshop. Registrations are now open and free. Researchers interested in giving a contributing talk are welcome and asked to submit a title and abstract before 16 November.

Quantum Thermodynamics of Non-equilibrium Systems (QTDNEQ20)

The workshop will focus on new developments in the understanding of quantum thermodynamics in non-equilibrium systems, with emphasis on the meso- and nanoscopic scale. Special attention will go to possible implementations of proof-of-principle experiments of systems working in the quantum regime. We intend to bring together experts and younger researchers in the field of non-equilibrium quantum thermodynamics so as to stimulate exchange and discussions about the newest topics in the field.
