PhD position in Nanoscale and Quantum Thermodynamics, Theory

The PhD student shall develop the theoretical description of fluctuations of thermodynamic quantities on the nanoscale. Particular focus will be on quantum mechanical, thermodynamic phenomena in open systems that are in a non-equilibrium state, a rapidly expanding field of research linking concepts and ideas from solid state physics, statistical mechanics and information theory.
