Postdoc in Theoretical Quantum Thermodynamics

We are looking for a postdoc working on stochastic and quantum thermodynamics. A central objective will be the derivation of a description of systems coupled to finite-sized reservoirs. The effect of fluctuating temperatures on heat-, as well as information-driven engines will be investigated.

A 2 years post-doctoral position is available to work on the energetic aspects of quantum information processing with spin qubits. The research will be conducted in the theory group of Dr. A. Theory post-doc position in Grenoble:Quantum thermodynamics with nano-electro-mechanical devices

PhD position

We are looking for motivated students to work on the thermodynamics of strongly coupled open quantum systems and tweak the design of quantum-thermodynamic cooling cycles. This award provides annual funding to cover UK/EU/International tuition fees and a tax-free stipend. The studentship will be awarded on the basis of merit for 3.5 years of full-time study to commence in October 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. Earlier start dates can be discussed.
