Anonymous survey about gender equality
Jan. 1, 2020 - Feb. 28, 2020 , Everywhere!
Dear colleagues from the Quantum Thermo community,
Please find below the link to a survey made by the Gender Equality working group of the Quantum Flagship to gather information and comments about gender equality. It is ANONYMOUS, it takes 5 minutes to answer.
The more data we collect, the most adequate changes we will be able to propose! We thank you in advance for participating, it is very important!

Oct. 28, 2019 - Oct. 31, 2019 , Bilbao, Spain
The Workshop QSLThermo19 on Quantum Speed Limit and Thermodynamics will be held in the beautiful city of Bilbao from October 28th to 31st, 2019. This is intended to be an informal gathering with few talks a day and plenty of time for discussions. The web site will be shortly updated regarding registration, hotels and general information about the meeting. Remaining slots are for poster presentation only. If you are interested, please kindly register before October 10th.
Frontiers of Quantum Thermodynamics
Sept. 18, 2019 - Sept. 20, 2019 , Exeter
We are pleased to announce the upcoming workshop "Frontiers of Quantum Thermodynamics", which will take place on the 18th–20th September 2019 in Exeter & the English Riviera, UK.
This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together ca. 30-40 experts in stochastic thermodynamics, open quantum systems, information thermodynamics, strongly correlated systems, and quantum optics, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

College on Energy Transport and Energy Conversion in the Quantum Regime
Aug. 12, 2019 - April 30, 2019 , Trieste, italy
The activity consists of a 2-weeks school followed by a workshop. A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. There is no registration fee.
During the workshop, alongside the invited talks, there are a few slots for contributed oral presentations and we will ask some selected participants to present a talk rather than a poster.
Registration deadline: 1st May 2019
Frontiers of Quantum and Mesoscopic Thermodynamics
July 14, 2019 - July 20, 2019 , Prague, Czech Republic
FQMT’19 is the next event of the series of the previous, successful Prague conferences "Frontiers of Quantum and Mesoscopic Thermodynamics".
The conference is focused on Non-equilibrium phenomena
mainly in mesoscopic and biological systems, cold atoms and molecules.
2019 Quantum Thermodynamics Conference - Finland
June 23, 2019 - June 28, 2019 , Espoo, Finland
This is the annual conference following those in Santa Barbara (2018), Oxford (2017), Erice (2016), Porquerolles (2015), Mallorca (2015), and Berlin (2014). As in every conference in the series, a small selection of invited talks and tutorials have been determined, and we welcome your contributions to the event in order to make it a success.
The conference website can be accessed at https://qtd2019.aalto.fi/ where you will find an abstract submission webpage ending 15 February 2019.
Entropy Special Issue: Energy, Entropy and Information in Nano- and Quantum-Electronics
June 20, 2019 - March 31, 2020 , Entropy
Due to their high degree of control, small electronic systems provide ideal candidates to investigate thermodynamics on the nanoscale. In particular, all ingredients required to investigate heat and energy transport, as well as the thermodynamics of information, are available. This Special Issue aims at providing a focus on modern developments in the highly exciting topics related to energy, entropy, and information in nano- and quantum-electronics.
